The Bishop Timon Cooking Club is currently in its second year. During the '22-'23 school year, we focused mainly on fundraising efforts, since we were starting completely from scratch.
Students participated in making and selling baked goods for our regular bake sales during lunch periods, which were a huge hit!
Students also participated in some small cooking projects during School Activity Days, such as making snack mixes and cookie mix in a jar. This year, we are looking forward to having regular after-school cooking sessions, and we hope to partner with some local organizations and chefs so members can gain greater exposure to different cooking techniques and career opportunities.
Another big project for us last year was the compilation of a Bishop Timon Friends & Family cookbook! This cookbook features 130+ recipes from the Timon community. If you'd like to purchase one for $15, please reach out to Elizabeth Cavacos at cavacos@bishoptimon.com.
