BISHOP TIMON-ST. JUDE HIGH SCHOOL
TUITION POLICY
2006-2007 ACADEMIC YEAR

The Board of Trustees will set tuition and fees for the academic year. Failure to exercise a tuition payment option will result in the student being denied admission to the school for the academic year.

Families have the OPTION of paying tuition in one of three ways.

OPTIONS:

1) FULL PAYMENT PLAN - For those electing to pay tuition in full, payment is due by July 1st of each year. A discount of $100 and a $50 Billing Fee waiver will be granted if payment is received by July 1st. Please note, students receiving total Financial Aid in excess of $1,000.00 will not be eligible for the $100.00 discount. Financial Aid includes scholarships, grants, work study, etc. Payments received after July 1st will not be eligible for the $100 discount but will be eligible for the $50 billing fee waiver.

2) YOUR TUITION SOLUTION - You may elect to pay over 12, 24, 36, 48, or 60 months at low fixed rates.  Payments over 12 mo. are $450/mo., over 24 mos. $234/mo. (based on full tuition).  There are no application or origination fees, and no pre-payment penalties.  You may qualify for $100 discount and $50 Billing Fee waiver if your payment is received by July 1st.  To learn more or apply online at http://www.yourtuitionsolution.com/ or call 800-920-9777.

3) MONTHLY PLAN FACTS TUITION PAYMENT SERVICE

A) SENIORS - Ten Month Plan - July 2006 - April 2007  (Accounts must be paid in full by April 30th)

B) NON-SENIORS - Eleven Month Plan - July 2006-May 2007

The FACTS Tuition Payment Service, for those choosing to pay on a monthly basis, is an automatic payment plan made through your checking account or savings account - you may also use an account in your sons name. Those choosing the monthly payment plan will authorize their bank to make automatic monthly payments to FACTS on either the 5th OR the 20th of each month.

There is a $50 billing fee per year for those families electing to use the monthly payment option.  Only one fee is required per family regardless of the number of children one has in school.

MISSED TUITION PAYMENTS:
Should you miss a monthly FACTS payment, FACTS will re-attempt collection the following month along with your regularly scheduled payment (2 payments will be withdrawn at that time from your account).  Additionally, FACTS will immediately assess a $25.00 NSF fee to your account.

BILLING SYSTEM:
Parents/Guardians will receive a printed statement of their account in September, January, March and May which will reflect payments received according to the above tuition options selected, credits issued (scholarships, grants, work study) and the balance remaining.  A separate statement will be issued when the account is paid in full.

FINANCIAL AID:
Financial Aid is available based on need. The FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment Application must be completed for consideration for financial aid, which includes Bishop Timon-St. Jude Grants, Work Study, and Scholarships. All financial aid is predicated on successful completion of the current academic year (i.e. any and all financial aid granted to a student will be forfeited if the academic year is not completed). Please note that Work Study is available for freshmen and sophomores only.
