Music

The music program was greatly expanded in the last three years. The completion of our new music/drama room and library has given us several new options in this area.

The curriculum offered includes the mandatory Music I course for sophomores and Music II which emphasizes notation and "more hands on" playing of instruments, mainly piano and guitar. Also, students can choose to participate in Chorus and/or band, which was added to the curriculum for the 2002-2003 school year. We are very excited to be offering band for the first time in many years.

Along with our new alliance with the Community Music School of Buffalo, the future of the music program looks bright at Bishop Timon / Saint Jude H.S.
